From 6 to 9 October 2026, the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague will host the 14th International Conference on Health and Hepatitis among People Who Use Drugs.
The main aim of INHSU is to improve the health and rights of people who use drugs.
The conference serves as a global platform to advance evidence-based approaches in the areas of hepatitis C elimination, HIV prevention, harm reduction and public health policy.
An overview of the key objectives
* Interdisciplinary collaboration: The event brings together researchers, healthcare professionals, policy-makers, campaigners and people with lived experience on an equal footing to exchange knowledge and strengthen networks.
* Evidence-based approaches and research: A key focus is the presentation of the latest scientific findings and clinical data. The core areas (tracks) are divided into:
* Epidemiology and public health research
* Clinical research
* Social science research and health policy
* Care models and practical programmes
* Combating infectious diseases: A focus is on the prevention, testing and treatment of viral hepatitis (HCV, HBV), HIV, tuberculosis and other infection-related risks.
* Addressing current crises: Discussions will centre on pressing global challenges such as the overdose crisis, healthcare provision in conflict and displacement zones, and harm reduction in relation to stimulant use.
* Integration of services: As part of pre-conference events (such as Policy Day), there will be a focus on how harm reduction programmes can be better integrated into existing general healthcare systems.
